#ShareYourEars combines three of my favourite things; Disney, social media, and CSR campaigns, so it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that it’s my chosen campaign of the week. In the current digital age, there is so much noise and competition on social media it can be hard to differentiate your campaign from another. On the other hand, it’s easy for a campaign to go viral thanks to the likes of hashtags, and as per usual, Disney has excelled in doing so.
The campaign was created to celebrate Disneyland Resorts Diamond celebration and the concept is simple. Upload a photo to social media of you/your dog/ANYONE wearing the iconic mouse ears along with #ShareYourEars and Disney Parks will donate $5 to the Make-A-Wish foundation. Over the past 30 years the organisations have been able to grant over 100,00 children’s wishes and let’s be honest, this is probably the best excuse to upload a selfie there has ever been.
